Abstract:” As physicists and engineers, we pride ourselves on making rational, logical decisions. Whether we are troubleshooting, problem solving, or doing research we analyse the facts and come to our conclusions. But unless we examine our own thinking process, our own biases, hopes, and fears can creep into our thinking process. In many cases we are not even aware of this happening.
Randy will present a simple but powerful model of how people think. His presentation is an interactive, entertaining, and illustrative demonstration of how the model applies to your thinking. Applicable to situations ranging from problem solving to communicating with other people, this is a description you will remember and use.”
